KTU Rework - XPERIA Sony

 

Here we show in short how a Sony xPeria Smartphone is dismantled for repair using the Turbo IR Rework Station:

This Phone is dismantled by removing the cover of the battery compartment:

we remove the battery

then we remove the screws with a torx screw driver

then we try to lift out the black inner side wall

Then we remove the yellow part and then lift the white plastic top using a flat screw drived in the indicated position:

Then pull off the white part from the xperia smartphone by holding the pcb with your other hand

Next step:

We power up Turbo IR and start up the preheater to avoid the pcb cracking when we add the dark infrared laser.

remove the large cap from turbo IR and put on the shown cap with the small opening:

move the hand piece on the slider to be at the right place so Turbo IR can help you do the rework on the area you only want to work on:

power up in free mode the Preheater of turbo IR

set preheater to level 1 or 2

Now you see the red light that indicated where you are pointing the infrared to
