KTU Rework - Nokia RM-122

Part A - dismantling of the RM-122

 

1. Nokia RM-122 Remove back lid

2. remove battery from the Nokia RM-122 before continuing

3. Remove all screws and do not forget the one in the center of the RM-122

4. Lift off the plastic block at the bottom of the RM-122 in a 20° angle

5. Push in the side of the lid wall a flat screw driver and lift upwards

6. Push into the other side of the lid wall a flat screw driver and lift upwards

7. Now lift upwards the middle plastic part from the front part

8. now you need to detach pcb from front keyboard

9. press with fingers dide parts using flat screwdriver to release attachments

10. Now you have pcb detached and have to remove small metal lids from chips using finger nails

11. Remove lid #1 from RM-122

12. Now you have to remove the metal lids on the other side of the pcb

Part B - rework for the RM-122

13. Setup rework station AND Place pcb of RM-122 into the holders of Turbo IR Rework Station.

14. Switch on rework station and move heat sensor to object of interest

15. Bend heat sensor so that it touches the heated pcb area

16. Sensor must touch PCB, not top surface of the chip

17.adjust the camera
